About these terms

These terms cover taking part in BOO! 2026, a Halloween-night creative technology hackathon on 24–25 October 2026 at Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalady, Kerala, and using this website.

BOO! is run by the BOO! core team under the µLearn ASIET banner — “we” and “us” on this page.

By registering for BOO! 2026, you agree to these terms, the Code of Conduct and the Privacy Policy.

02

Who can take part

  • BOO! 2026 is open to students of ASIET only.
  • Everyone takes part in a team of two, and both of you need to be ASIET students.
  • Carry your college ID. You may be asked for it at any point during the event.
03

Registration and the fee

  • Registration runs on an outside registration portal, not on this website. When it opens, the Register buttons here take you to it.
  • The fee is ₹399 per team of two.
  • Give accurate details when you register. We use them to run the event, as the Privacy Policy explains.
  • Deadlines, how to pay, and whether the fee can be refunded will be set out on the registration portal. Where the portal is more specific than this page, the portal applies.
04

The night

  • The doors open at 5 PM on 24 October, and BOO! runs through the night into the morning of 25 October.
  • Food is provided during the event. Accommodation and sleeping facilities are not — if you need somewhere to stay before the event, that’s yours to arrange.
  • The carnival is part of the night. Joining in is up to you.
  • ASIET’s rules for students and for the campus apply for the whole event.
  • Plans can change. If the schedule, the activities or the venue details change, we’ll update this site, or tell you at the event.
05

Your things, and staying safe

  • Bring what you need: your laptop, your charger, and whatever hardware or tools your project needs.
  • You’re responsible for your own belongings. We can’t take responsibility for anything lost, stolen or damaged.
  • Nothing dangerous — no weapons, open flames or fuel. If your project involves anything that could hurt someone, such as heat, high voltage or sharp moving parts, check with us before you bring it.
  • The event guidelines have the safety rules for the night.
06

What you build

  • What your team builds at BOO! belongs to your team.
  • Any stack, any tools. If you use someone else’s code, art, sound or data, make sure you’re allowed to, and credit it.
  • Projects have to be built during the event, and the event guidelines say what to submit.
  • We may mention your team and your project — its name, a line about it, a screenshot — when we talk about BOO!. If you’d rather we didn’t, tell us.
07

Judging

  • Projects are judged on innovation, functionality and presentation (the event guidelines have more).
  • The judges’ decisions are final.
08

Conduct

Everyone at BOO! follows the Code of Conduct. We can refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who breaks it, these terms or the campus rules, and disqualify their team.

09

This website

  • This site is here to tell you about BOO! 2026. Anything marked “coming soon” isn’t live yet.
  • The BOO! name, the wordmark, the cats and the rest of the artwork belong to the BOO! team. Ask before reusing them.
  • Links to other sites, like the core team’s LinkedIn and Instagram profiles, go to services we don’t run, with their own terms.
  • We keep the details here accurate, but they can change. The registration portal and the event guidelines have the final word on specifics.
10

Changes to these terms

We’ll update these terms as BOO! takes shape — when registration opens, for example. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
